This year, the Philippine Beer Festival (or commonly named, Philippine Oktoberfest) starts September 10, at the SM Mall of Asia. It is where the kick-off party will start featuring a never-before-seen 3D light and sound show. Oktoberfest is one of the biggest events in history with great performances by big bands and famous artists. Thousands of concert and mall goers were awed, as they witnessed the first ever 3D lights and sound show in the country projected on the facade of the 12-storey Microtel hotel building, which lasted for minutes. The projected technological visuals, patterned after those seen in New York, Paris, London, Sydney, and Tokyo, showed SMB�s iconic and popular beer products accompanied by the new San Miguel Oktoberfest jingle booming from a specially designed surround sound system in the background. A fireworks show captured the whole of SM Mall of Asia, as well, as everyone went still for 15 minutes simply admiring the lit up skies. As if that was not enough, SMB left music fans reminiscing good old times, if not frenzied and dazed, when the country�s most popular and iconic bands went on stage for a series of live performances.
